I can’t help but crack up about this – what began as a thought to give people a behind-the-scenes peek at one aspect of my preparation for the filming of John has turned into something of a health revival.  So many folks have been inspired by these little videos to get up from their easy chairs and out from behind too-huge plates of too-wonderful-tasting-to-be-good-for-you food (whew!), and get out and get physical, that I decided to post them here in my journal for everyone.

Too often we Christians neglect our physical welfare, and I have to think that on some level it grieves the Lord because he gave us these magnificent creations, our bodies, as a wondrous gift, to be appreciated and used unto his purposes and glory, no less than our minds and hearts and spiritual giftings.  And like anything, that requires “upkeep,” maintenance – it requires care.  How many of us suffer from maladies and physical challenges that could easily be avoided with a little maintenance and care.  And I’m sure I’m not the only one who has giggled at the oft-heard hypocrisy of quoting “your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit” to a smoker, but when it comes to Denny’s after church for a Grand Slam breakfast and a strawberry waffle, somehow that Scripture doesn’t apply (ouch!).

All to say, I am humbled that these simple videos (I think there are 9/10 in the series) are a blessing and are inspiring people – a whole aspect of “ministry” I never imagined.  I’ve received more than a few testimonies of weight loss, people getting outdoors for the first time in forever, people coming free of chronic aches/pains, strength building and lightness of heart right along with it…  I praise Jesus – and so may I introduce to you the The “Jesus” Work Out.  May it be a great blessing to you.  Glory to Jesus!
